Founder Story
Hi, I’m Max Clark. I created ShowRunner after years of working as a music director and live sound engineer at my home church in Colorado. Every week I spent hours preparing sessions with existing backing track software just to run a few tracks, slides, and basic lighting cues. Making changes on the fly, like shifting keys or rearranging sections, was frustratingly difficult (even for someone with a recording studio background), and the setup was too complex to hand off if I had to miss a week.
I wanted a tool that gave musicians everything they needed on stage without being limited by technology. ShowRunner was built to keep teams creative, flexible, and confident.
